    Our main class styles are Sweat and Strength. Sweat classes mix movements to work both strength and conditioning. You can expect a higher intensity class with more emphasis on cardio and endurance. Strength classes focus on form and slower compound movements. The aim is to get stronger and improve athleticism.

  • Yes! We all start somewhere. You are able to choose the weights that suit you best, and take things at your own pace. There is always an explanation of the exercises before class starts, and our trainers are walking around throughout the workout to help with form and to encourage you.

    If you are new, we recommend showing up for class at least 15 minutes early to fill out a waiver and have a chance to ask our staff any questions you may have.

  • We recommend 2-3 classes per week to see results. But as always, listen to your body!

    If you're sore, or tired, take a rest day.

  • You must be at least 16 years of age. Those under 18 must provide a guardian/parent signature before taking class.

  • Sign up and book class online through our Mindbody Online scheduling site or the Pure Fit Ottawa app. You can book up to 5 days in advance.

  • Due to small class sizes, we highly recommend pre-registering for class to ensure your spot. We have a 5-day booking window. You can book and manage your classes online through our website or the Pure Fit Ottawa app.

  • We are located directly beside our Pure Yoga Centretown location at 359 Bank Street (Bank and Gilmour) We are equipped with change rooms, lockers, showers, and have shower towels to rent for $2. Street parking is free after 5:30pm on weekdays and all day Saturday & Sundays.

  • Yes, we have beautiful gender inclusive change rooms and shower facilities. We understand people do not always neatly conform to a binary system of gender. Our change rooms are marked Women's and Men's, but please choose the change room that you feel most comfortable. Our change rooms also have lockers (bring a padlock if you wish to lock your belongings).

GENERAL

FIRST TIME

  • Doors open 15 minutes before class. If it is your first class, please arrive at least 10 minutes before class to give yourself enough time to situate yourself and to fill out a waiver. Doors lock once class begins.

  • Clothes you're comfortable moving and sweating in, a water bottle, and indoor training shoes (NO outdoor shoes please!). We provide small sweat towels free of charge.

CLASS POLICIES

  • No. Once class begins, doors will be locked and late arrivals will not be permitted. Please arrive for class at least 5-10 minutes in advance. Doors will open 15 minutes before class begins.

  • We have a strict NO PHONE policy during class, and we ask that you leave your device on silent in your bag or locker. Please note that filming during class is prohibited. Save the selfies for before or after class!

  • If a class is full, we encourage you to join the waitlist! Waitlist spots are to be treated like a regular booking. It is assumed that everyone who is on the waitlist is still able to attend class. You can cancel your waitlist spot at any time without penalization if you are no longer able to attend.

    Payment is required to hold a spot on the waitlist - if you do not make it into the class you were waitlisted for, the credit will remain on your account for a later use.


    If a space opens up more than 8 hours before the scheduled class time you will be added to the class and will receive a text/email confirming your spot in class. If you can no longer attend, you will be able to cancel your spot without penalization, provided that it’s not within 8 hours before class.


    If a space opens up less than 8 hours before the scheduled class time, you will automatically be added to the class and will receive a text/email confirming your spot in class, however you will not be able to cancel out of the class without incurring a late cancellation fee.

  • Spots are limited! Pure Fit Ottawa has a 8 hour cancellation policy. You can cancel a booking without charge at any time if it’s at least 8 hours before class. Please cancel your bookings online through your account.

    If you cancel your class within 8 hours of your scheduled class time, you will incur a $25 late cancellation fee if you are on an unlimited pricing option. If you have a class package or drop in, the class credit will be deducted from your account.

    If you miss a class without canceling, you will incur a no show fee of $30 if you are on an unlimited pricing option, or a class credit will be deducted from your account if you have a class package or drop in.

    Please note - we reserve the right to give up your spot in class if you are not here within the scheduled class start time.

  • If you are outside the 8 hour cancellation window, you can cancel and book another class that isn’t full. If you are within 8 hours of the scheduled class time, it is considered a late cancellation and the above policy would apply.

  • If you miss a class without canceling you will incur a no show fee of $30 if you are on an unlimited pricing option, or a class credit will be deducted from your account if you have a class package or drop in. We highly recommend adding your scheduled classes into your calendar so you do not forget about the classes you schedule!
